While glitching crackle drowns out most of the message, you manage to make out the following:]

[Lucas will note the message is laced with pain and distress, as if sending this harmed the senders somehow.]

Maybe don't know we heard. Maybe talking to others-like-them. How can we know all their words are right?

This is the type of message where the sender does not expect a reply, so it matters not if they know we heard. It is certainly lacking in words, as it is near-meaningless without trying to extrapolate what has been lost in transmission.

Words aren't all the meaning! It is colored with concern.

It most likely will not hurt to send a reply. But what... If I am right, indicating that we are going to the rescue will cause alarm.

Crown to reach...? I think you shall have to explain how your communication works in more depth. And in person.

They responded without words, but in a way you could understand? Can you tell them that we are planning to rescue? The change in their emotions should give us some insight into the situation.

We may not have time now, with danger looming, but at some point, we should find a more comfortable way for you to communicate than texting. I presume you find the text color options to be severely lacking?

Takes too long! Draw patterns, let slate make words, know not all words right!

[He is skipping thought because drawing takes time and simplifies the drawings since the slate has limits on the complexity it will understand. Not to start with on having to get people to actually look at it.]
