[Video] (Day 93)
[It's a few days after the arrival, and there's a new face on the network! Though strangely he wasn't on the bridge at the time...
[The stranger has golden hair under his winged gold helmet. The rest of his armor is appropriately bright and shiny. He has a rectangular warhammer held in one hand, which he tosses lazily in the air with a boisterous laugh. His grin is broad and his eyes sparkle with good-natured cheer, though there's a hint of something else in them.]
Greetings, unfortunate captives of the fae! It is I, Thor, the God of Thunder, and I am here to ease your suffering!
[He punctuates the declaration with a flash of light and another laugh, before his tone gets more grave.]
I have heard that my wicked brother Loki is among you, and while he thankfully has died, he has refused to remain dead. Well, you need not fear him! I will protect all of you from his machinations!
[He tosses and catches the hammer again, to another flash of light, then the broadcast ends.]

[Look, they come from an animist pantheon of a religion. Humanoid gods? The fuck? ]

Nay, it is you who resembles us gods! It is a high honor!

[Niko wrinkles their nose in distaste then huffs. They can't afford to alient anyone here, no matter how stupid their beliefs are.]
Hmph. Whatever. So you're a humanist and deluded. Cute.
[NIKO.]

I assure you, I am no human, but a god of Asgard.

Well. Unlike 'Thor', Emporio's just kind of buried in his usual coat, sweater, and out of place ball cap. Hardly anything that could be called a doppelganger.]
....Wasn't aware there were 'machinations' to be protected from, [He manages to voice with a somewhat dry tone.]
...Don't really recommend storms inside a spaceship though.
no subject
Never fear, I have been using my powers in space for longer than you mortals have known what space is!
no subject
But storms still has his attention. He almost asks- ...Can you teach me?- the need to say something at all flits across his face to that end.
...but 'Thor' doesn't have the attitude of someone with that kind of patience, he doesn't think.
So, he just nods.] ...Right. As long as one of us doesn't breach the hull, then...
[Maybe he should focus on figuring out if there Is something to worry about.] What kind of...'machinations' are we talking about here?
no subject
Oh, conquering you and forcing you to kneel to him, destroying worlds, the sort of things you would expect of a wicked god.

...no wait there's something more important actually.]
...Brother?
[??? ???????
.... ?!?!?!!?!?!?!?! ]
I thought Loki was the blood brother to Odin though... [Maybe that was just for Skadi's version of reality??? ...Right, back to the other thing-]
AAHH!!! And there's no suffering in the first place! Loki's cool, there's no machinations to worry about! ...Personally, I'm really glad he's not dead...
no subject
A detail you mortals have gotten confused over the centuries. There have been so many! I would be glad to correct your knowledge!
[Inwardly Loki is pleased by the defense, but he lets his Thor guise's face darken, then go sympathetic.]
How has he fooled you, that you care for his well-being?
And astoundingly, this was not what I rolled for,
But, he'll happily argue for Loki's defense- this, despite realistically not actually having much reason to do so. He barely knows the guy. He has only spoken to him so much, which means the best he technically has is 'because vibes'.
And yet.
And yet.] Hmnnn...
You knew he died, right?
...so...
You know how, too, don't you?

[Action] (Welp. I dunno if I'll ever get this boy to understand networks)
only slightly out of guilt. When they had first disappeared, Æn'kae had taken it as them needing space. And since his own small friends hadn't seemed worried, he'd decided to leave them to it. But they hadn't come back and he worry for them had steadily increased. And then came the network broadcast. The whole thing earned... a mixed bag of emotions, but the only thing obvious from outside was ice. He didn't respond there, opting not to give this stranger a response. What he did was enlist Roj and Hwoinch to find Loki and his companions. Their disappearance coupled with this Thor's statement that Loki 'refused to remain dead' fell together like puzzle pieces. And now? If he were alive and his brother was a threat to him, Æn'kae would do all he could to help.
Once they were close, Roj, who was more in tune to Æn'kae's mood, charged ahead. And frankly, a Targ angrily barrelling down a hallway was not easily missed.
no subject
A bit farther down the hall, a door opens and "Thor" looks out. He only glances at the scene before his face falls- and dissolves into Loki's, still looking abashed.
"Aen'kae, you need not worry. It was merely a jest."
no subject
Hwoinch for his part, teleported ahead when he spotted Meor and pounced at him. Perhaps not as focused on Æn'kae's worries, or perhaps more aware of what was going on. He was a feline and still very young and his motives were his own. And he'd decided that play time was much more interesting than anything else.
Æn'kae was quite a ways behind her by this point, while he'd picked up the pace to follow, he hadn't been running. When the image shifted he did pick up his pace more though. Perhaps he should have reacted more, been upset by the joke, but instead he was struggling with any sort of reaction. He paused once he caught up, still processing what he'd seen, what he knew. "You're really alive. And not in danger?" And apparently processing about as well as Roj at this point.
no subject
Loki gives the flerkens a fond look before looking back at Aen'kae, hands held up in apology. "I revived after a couple of days, no worse for wear. There is no danger. Thor is not here, and even if he were, he would likely not want to kill me, unless he had reason to think I intended harm to anyone here. Which versions of him might," he admits, mouth twisting, "and with good reason. But I would think that any version of him would soon be happy to learn that I live and thrive and am cared for."

video;
[He doesn’t know Loki, but he’s just assuming this isn’t all that serious of a declaration. The only guy Donnie warned him about is the octopus.]
no subject
I do not fear for my own sake, but for yours. He is little threat to me, but quite dangerous to unprepared mortals.
no subject
[Hah! Though maybe he should clarify…]
Buuut when you say dangerous, dangerous how?
no subject
[Video]
I will personally smack you. My hammer's bigger than yours.
....
Wait, what do you mean refused to remain dead?
no subject
Loki has a distressing habit of returning from certain death, but I am given to understand that this was not his doing, but rather a property of the ship, to revive those who dwell in it. If only it were more discerning!
no subject
[He frowns.]
So this ship also brings people back if they've died... Guess I shouldn't be surprised. We're probably effectively tethered to this universe through whatever power brought us to this ship. Not that dying to begin with isn't distressing.
[But it means Loki's not dead after all. Donnie had been a bit upset to hear that, so he can't help but be a little relieved knowing it hadn't been permanent, and his sigh suggests as much.]
Good to know he's back. I hope you two play nice though- personally I have nothing against him, but if I had to choose sides it'd easily be his over yours.
no subject
So many have spoken in defense of my troublesome brother. ["Thor" shakes his head.] Tell me, what has he done to earn such words?
