[Evening Day 6] Incoming from ???

[Wherever you are, whatever you are doing, the jewel on your bangle suddenly, inexplicably crackles to life.

You all know the voices (colours, for Lucus) - you heard at least one prior to arrival on the Noanga.

While glitching crackle drowns out most of the message, you manage to make out the following:]

Invited.

A --- next few days--- go--- engage. Repeat do---.

[Lucas will note the message is laced with pain and distress, as if sending this harmed the senders somehow.]

It sure wasn't enough for them.

Are these things you actually did or just ones put on you by others?

[He's been there. He did not murder Metias and for all Republic shoved him in with the Patriots never officially belonged to that rebel organization. Though they tried hard to recruit him.]

Some are things I have done. Others, what another Loki has done. Then there are the myths, which may be prophecy, or merely the wild imaginings of mortals through the centuries. The perils of being a god and a traveler across universes.

Huh. That makes you the third god I've met. Will what people believe of you change who you are?

Gods get kidnapped to these places the same as mortals. I hope your encounters have not been overly negative.

I try not to let what others think of me change my behavior. Or- do you mean, is it a fact of my existence, that mortals' belief shapes what I am? Thankfully, no.

[...for the most part. The revelations from his time as a temporary Guardian of Childhood suggested otherwise in a meta sense.]

Oh, they were great! Xochipilli and the Dark God have been really nice. They were the main contributors to my magic.

Yeah, Xochipilli had that problem. He didn't knew anymore where all his aspects came from, because when people associated him with another it was as if it'd always been his. What are you the god of?

[He makes a mental note to set up a small shrine, if he finds a nice spot for it.]

I, unfortunately, cannot grant others magic. Only teach if they have some capacity. I have long since realized that in comparison I and my kind are not particularly impressive gods.

I am the God of Mischief. One of the gods of Asgard, though currently banished.

That's alright. Jack called them 'hippies' and that they weren't really useful when actual danger showed up.

That's a neat thing to be god of! Asgard was one of those along the big tree, like Midgard, right?

[Most of his education came from Bartimaeus, the jinn. It was a bit erratic and did not include modern media.]

Nobody has accused me of being useless in the face of danger.

That is correct. The Nine Realms, connected by the great tree Yggdrasil. Asgard is the greatest of them and all other realms, to hear Asgardians speak of it.

Doesn't everyone think their bit of the world is the greatest?
