Fighting is inevitable. But it would have been nice if we could have waited a little longer. Had more time to learn about and trust each other, before we had to fight to protect each other.

There will always be dangers that must be fought. Even if all the monsters are not in fact monsters and can be reasoned with, the universe is full of risk without any malice or will behind it.

I know that feeling. Though I am more often the one others regret trusting.

No, I don't believe that. The world can be good, it just needs the right chances to become so.

Good does not mean safe. Indeed, those who I once thought my people would consider a world without danger to not be good.

Given my reputation, I find it advantageous to be upfront that trusting me comes with risks.

Safe is subjective. I once thought I'd be safe if only I could fit into the rules the government set.

How well does that work when your reputation is unknown?

Following the rules is only ever a fleeting safety, unless you are the one who makes them.

It inevitably becomes known before long. Sooner or later someone who recognizes the name Loki will arrive and tell the others of my deeds, whether mythical or real.

Gods get kidnapped to these places the same as mortals. I hope your encounters have not been overly negative.

I try not to let what others think of me change my behavior. Or- do you mean, is it a fact of my existence, that mortals' belief shapes what I am? Thankfully, no.

Oh, they were great! Xochipilli and the Dark God have been really nice. They were the main contributors to my magic.

Yeah, Xochipilli had that problem. He didn't knew anymore where all his aspects came from, because when people associated him with another it was as if it'd always been his. What are you the god of?

I, unfortunately, cannot grant others magic. Only teach if they have some capacity. I have long since realized that in comparison I and my kind are not particularly impressive gods.

That's a neat thing to be god of! Asgard was one of those along the big tree, like Midgard, right?

That is correct. The Nine Realms, connected by the great tree Yggdrasil. Asgard is the greatest of them and all other realms, to hear Asgardians speak of it.
